Basement Transmissions is an artistic and cultural center for creation and performance.
Our mission is to serve the local visual and performing arts community with opportunities to explore, learn, grow, connect, collaborate, and practice.
Our main hall, a 450 standing cap room with a huge stage is the heart of Performance, and boasts the highest of quality live sound. Our lounge, a 75 standing cap room, is a multi purpose space with a small stage, seated areas, and a snack bar.
The lounge is home to the BT Art Club, a group of creatives that gather on Wednesday evenings. BT Art Club is a public forum for artistic community development. It provides open air art sessions, gallery showcases, demonstrations, critiques, and visiting artist presentations.
The best kept secret, our basement, is home to 21 studio spaces and is quite literally the foundation of creative growth at Basement Transmissions.
Our venue is geographically positioned to pull artists and audiences from Buffalo, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and all communities in between. Whether you participate as Audience, Artist or Organizer; BT will provide an outlet for you. We love our community and want you to become part of it!
Basement Transmissions is founded, owned, and lead by practicing Musician, Artist, Father, and generally cool guy Robert Jensen!
